THOR HEYERDAHLS CAFÈ

In 2005, we started running a café at Laurvig Hospital, which is a historic building from 1757. The café is run by students from Thor Heyerdahl Upper Secondary School, work and everyday life training and is a youth enterprise. The café is open every other Friday and is an offer for older people and others who want to visit us. We bake and sell various cakes, soups, salads and sandwiches. We also have lottery where we give out flowers and small gifts. This year, the youth company have 7 students, all of them have different roles, such as general manager, personal manager, production manager, purchasing manager, finance manager and cafeteria manager. At the end of the school year, we go on a school trip for the money we have earned. The café is well visited and has about, 30 visiting guests each time.
